CPA Licensed Assistant Controller

Job Summary

To support top-tier clients in the Venture Capital & Private Equity space, the full-time remote CPA Licensed Assistant Controller will manage client relationships, oversee financial reporting, and ensure compliance with US GAAP while leading a team of accounting professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for multiple clients, managing workflow and coordinating team efforts
• Drive the month-end close process, prepare and review quarterly financial statements, and manage year-end financial statement audits
• Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members while proactively seeking opportunities for personal and team development

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in the alternative asset industry, preferably in Venture Capital or Private Equity
• CPA certification or MBA is a plus
• In-depth understanding of US GAAP and partnership accounting, including complex allocation waterfalls
• Experience in a client-facing role leading engagements for multiple clients
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems such as Xero or QuickBooks
