CPA Licensed Controller

Job Summary

To support the organization's financial integrity, the full-time CPA Licensed Controller will manage accounting operations, oversee financial reporting, and ensure compliance with GAAP while working remotely in the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance and financial recordkeeping
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, preparing accurate financial statements and reports
• Develop and maintain effective internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of Controller or Senior Accountant experience in the nonprofit or NGO sector, preferably with organizations exceeding $25M in annual budget
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master's degree preferred
• CPA certification strongly desired
• Experience preparing audited financial statements and managing month-end and year-end close processes
• Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
