CPA Licensed Controller

Job Summary

To oversee and scale all aspects of the company's accounting and tax operations, the full-time remote CPA Licensed Controller will manage financial systems, processes, and policies while leading the in-house accounting team and ensuring compliance with US GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the monthly close process, annual audits, and financial reporting to ensure high-quality financial statements
• Oversee the accounting function, including GL, AP, tax, payroll, and treasury, while partnering with various stakeholders across the organization
• Support strategic initiatives such as M&A, fundraising, and potential IPOs in collaboration with the CFO and executive team

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in accounting, including 3+ years at a top-tier audit firm and 8+ years in-house at fast-growing startups
• Experience building and managing a complex accounting team, including both managers and individual contributors
• Proven track record of leading accounting teams through multiple clean audits with Big Four firms
• Expertise in US GAAP, particularly in ASC 606, ASC 718, ASC 805, and ASC 350
• Experience with global indirect tax compliance, including US sales tax and international VAT/GST
