CPA Licensed Controller

Job Summary

To create a scalable accounting foundation for a profitable SaaS business, the full-time CPA Licensed Controller will manage the integrity of financial information, oversee the general ledger, and ensure compliance with GAAP and ASC 606 while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and document accounting policies and procedures aligned with GAAP and SaaS best practices
• Own the general ledger, monthly and annual close, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• Lead a small accounting team, setting priorities and ensuring consistent operational processes

Required qualifications

• Active CPA designation in the United States or Canada, or an equivalent acceptable designation
• Eight or more years of progressive accounting experience in a SaaS or similarly complex recurring-revenue business
• Deep working knowledge of ASC 606 and experience writing technical accounting memos
• Demonstrated ownership of general ledger management, financial statements, and internal controls
• Experience leading a small accounting team while being willing to engage in detailed work personally
