Job Summary
To lead day-to-day accounting operations and ensure financial accuracy, the full-time remote CPA Licensed Controller will manage the monthly close, consolidated financial reporting, and oversee payroll, payables, and cash management while collaborating with various departments.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Oversee payroll processing for US and Canadian employees, ensuring compliance with tax filings and benefits changes
- Produce and reconcile monthly SaaS metrics, ensuring alignment with financial statements and reporting requirements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a management role
- Hands-on experience with month-end close and consolidated financial statements under US GAAP
- Working knowledge of SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606) and commission accounting
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems
