Job Summary
Owning all aspects of accounting, the full-time CPA Licensed Controller will implement modern financial systems, manage revenue recognition, and lead the accounting team while collaborating across departments in a remote or SF Bay Area setting.
Key responsibilities
- Define and deliver services for the accounting team, including implementing an AI-native ERP and modernizing the tech stack
- Oversee revenue integrity and recognition processes, partnering with various departments to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Manage the monthly close process, aiming to consistently close within 7 business days and improve efficiency
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of accounting experience, with at least 4 years in a high-growth, venture-backed startup
- Active CPA license and experience with Big 4 accounting firms
- Proven experience in hiring, mentoring, and developing accounting staff
- Strong technical accounting skills and experience with SaaS; healthcare experience is a plus
- Familiarity with AI tools and systems, particularly in implementing an AI-native ERP
