Job Summary
Seeking a CPA Licensed Controller, the full-time remote position will manage the accounting function from the ground up, including financial reporting, compliance, and audit relationships as the company expands in government contracting and commercial markets.
Key responsibilities
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements under U.S. GAAP
- Oversee all accounting operations, including banking, billing, accounts receivable, and payroll, while ensuring compliance with government contract requirements
- Lead the annual financial statement audit and maintain relationships with external auditors and tax firms
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; active CPA license required
- 10+ years of accounting or finance experience, including leadership roles and government contracting experience
- Hands-on experience leading financial closes and financial statement audits
- Strong expertise in U.S. GAAP, technical accounting, and internal controls
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems
