CPA Licensed Director of Accounting

Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the full-time remote CPA Licensed Director of Accounting will manage the integrity and compliance of external financial reporting under U.S. GAAP, oversee the preparation of financial statements and disclosures, and serve as the principal technical accounting authority for the Company.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and issuance of annual and interim U.S. GAAP financial statements and related disclosures
• Serve as the primary technical accounting resource for complex transactions and ensure compliance with emerging financial reporting requirements
• Oversee and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting and coordinate annual financial audits

Required qualifications

• CPA certification and a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience with significant U.S. GAAP exposure
• Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP and statutory accounting, including experience with complex insurance environments
• Proven experience leading external audits and managing relationships with independent auditors
• Experience with public-company reporting requirements and SOX compliance preferred
