Job Summary
Supporting the financial administration of sponsored projects, the full-time remote CPA Licensed Grants Accounting Analyst will perform post-award accounting activities, manage award setup and closeout tasks, and ensure compliance with sponsor requirements and institutional policies.
Key responsibilities
- Perform post-award accounting activities, including invoicing, accounts receivable management, and financial reporting support
- Review and maintain sponsored award transactions to ensure accurate administration in accordance with policies
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities by preparing journal entries and reconciliations
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- 2 to 4 years of progressive accounting experience with practical knowledge of GAAP
- Working knowledge of grant accounting principles and Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200)
- Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and advanced spreadsheet skills
- Ability to prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and grant billings with strong attention to detail
