CPA Licensed Senior Director of Accounting
Job Summary
To lead technical accounting and risk management initiatives, the full-time salaried CPA Licensed Senior Director of Accounting will consult on complex transactions, ensure compliance with US GAAP, and oversee the accounting for the HIRE Bermuda insurance entity, with flexibility for remote work.
Key responsibilities
- Consult with internal partners on complex transactions to ensure proper accounting treatment
- Research technical accounting matters and author memos and reports for management
- Oversee month-end and quarter-end reconciliations, ensuring compliance with GAAP
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and CPA certification required
- 5 to 8 years of related work experience, including Big 4 audit experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and SEC regulations
- Experience with external auditor consultations and SEC comment letters
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage and direct others
