CPA Licensed Staff Accountant

Job Summary

To support day-to-day accounting operations, the part-time CPA Licensed Staff Accountant will manage journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close procedures while ensuring compliance with GAAP and government contracting requirements in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations while supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards
• Support DCAA audits by preparing necessary schedules and documentation for financial statement audits

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• At least one year of experience in government contracting or public accounting
• Current CPA or CMA certification, or active progress toward obtaining one, strongly preferred
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed to meet project deadlines
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a background screening
