Job Summary
Leading the revenue recognition strategy, the full-time salaried CPA Licensed Technical Accounting Director will manage complex non-routine transactions, oversee stock-based compensation accounting, and serve as the primary technical accounting expert while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the revenue recognition strategy and manage complex transactions in compliance with US GAAP
- Draft and maintain technical accounting memos, reviewing customer contracts for revenue recognition treatment
- Act as the primary liaison with external auditors for revenue and complex transaction matters
Required qualifications
- Active CPA license
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 6 years at a Big 4 public accounting firm
- Expertise in ASC 606, ASC 310, and ASC 326, particularly in SaaS or fintech environments
- Hands-on experience with ASC 718, ASC 260, and ASC 805
- Proven ability to write technical memos and communicate accounting conclusions effectively to stakeholders
