Job Summary
Owning the month-end close process, the full-time Senior Financial Accountant will manage balance sheet integrity, statutory reporting, and technical accounting for both Australian and US entities while working in a remote-first environment.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate the monthly close across Australian and US entities, ensuring a structured close calendar and review process
- Prepare statutory financial statements and deliver monthly group consolidation, including intercompany reconciliations
- Maintain audit-ready workpapers year-round and act as the primary contact for external auditors
Required qualifications
- CA or CPA qualification is a firm requirement
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close and external audit exposure
- Strong technical accounting expertise across AASB and IFRS; US GAAP exposure is highly regarded
- Experience preparing statutory financial statements and multi-entity consolidations
- Strong working knowledge of Australian tax compliance, including income tax and GST
