CPA Senior Technical Accounting Manager

Job Summary

To navigate complex transactions and implement new accounting standards, the full-time remote CPA Senior Technical Accounting Manager will manage technical accounting responsibilities, including drafting accounting memos, evaluating non-routine transactions, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Draft high-quality accounting memos and analyses to support management's conclusions and obtain concurrence from external auditors
• Evaluate and operationalize accounting for complex, non-routine transactions, providing strategic guidance to business partners
• Lead the accounting and valuation of M&A transactions and strategic investments, partnering with third-party specialists

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and an active CPA license
• 8+ years of progressive technical accounting experience under U.S. GAAP, with significant exposure to financing arrangements and business combinations
• Public company experience, including SEC reporting and SOX 404 internal controls
• Prior Big 4 audit or transaction advisory experience, or equivalent in-house technical accounting role at a high-growth technology company
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to critically evaluate valuation methodologies and assess complex security structures
