CPC Certified Billing Manager

Job Summary

To oversee the Professional Coding Operations team, the full-time remote CPC Certified Billing Manager will manage coding accuracy, supervise staff, and collaborate with revenue cycle stakeholders to address coding denials and improve operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor professional billing coders, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and productivity standards
• Conduct quality assurance reviews of coding practices and provide training to staff based on audit findings
• Analyze coding denials and trends, partnering with the Coding Education Team to develop educational programs for providers

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• CPC - Certified Professional Coder certification required
• At least five years of coding experience, including education and mentoring roles
• Minimum three years of management experience in a coding environment
• Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding conventions and hospital reimbursement methodologies
