CPC Certified Coder

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time CPC Certified Coder with over 3 years of experience in coding Neurosurgery E/M, Office Injections procedures, and Surgical Spine cases, who will abstract, code, and interpret clinical information from various medical records while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Abstract, code, and sequence clinical information from inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department records
• Assign correct diagnoses and procedure codes, ensuring accurate sequencing and compliance with coding guidelines
• Maintain productivity levels and a 95% quality rating while documenting coding activities in specified systems

Required qualifications:

• Successful completion of an AAPC or AHIMA-approved Coding Certificate Program
• A minimum of 3 years of recent coding experience in Neurosurgery and related specialties
• Proficiency with EPIC and 3M coding systems
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, preferably between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. CST
• Demonstrated ability to achieve client productivity standards within 4 weeks and maintain thereafter
