CPC Certified Coder II

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the CPC Certified Coder II will focus on professional coding with a strong emphasis on cardiology, reviewing medical records to determine appropriate codes and ensure accurate reimbursement.

Key responsibilities:

• Utilize computer applications to efficiently complete the coding process and maintain productivity standards
• Review and sequence codes to maximize reimbursement while addressing coding edits and denials
• Identify incomplete documentation and formulate queries to obtain necessary information for accurate coding

Required qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Graduate of an approved, certified coding program preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of coding experience or CPC certification required
• Proficient computer skills, with MS Excel knowledge preferred
• Eligible for CPC or CPC specialty certification
