CPC Certified Compliance Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting compliance initiatives remotely, the full-time CPC Certified Compliance Specialist will manage compliance programs, conduct audits, and coordinate training sessions to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manages and monitors technology needs and system requirements for assigned departments
• Coordinates training sessions for departments when new policies or practices are adopted
• Conducts comprehensive compliance audits and provides recommendations for system improvements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Licensure as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) is required
• Thorough understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and coding (CPT and ICD-9/ICD-10)
• Extensive knowledge of healthcare financial and billing concepts, particularly Medicare billing guidelines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; preferred experience with EPIC, MD Audit, and ComplyTrack software
