CPC Certified Medical Coder

Job Summary

To support a growing pediatric practice, the remote Medical Coding & Billing Specialist will ensure timely and accurate claims submission, collaborate with providers and data teams, and optimize coding and documentation processes.

Key responsibilities

• Submit clean claims with accurate coding and track denials and rejections for resolution
• Review provider documentation to assign correct codes and educate providers on documentation improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align workflows and maintain compliance with billing rules

Required qualifications

• AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required
• 3-5 years of experience in physician billing and coding, preferably in pediatrics
• Proficiency with Athena EMR and Microsoft Excel
• Deep understanding of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, HEDIS, and Medicaid/commercial payers
• Experience with telehealth billing and value-based care models is a plus
