Job Summary
Working remotely on a PRN basis, the Credentialing Analyst will manage the credentialing primary source verification process, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while maintaining applicant information in a complex database.
Key responsibilities
- Tracks and processes initial and re-credentialing applications, ensuring timely follow-up on non-returned applications
- Conducts primary source verification for applications, comparing received information with applicant data for accuracy
- Maintains the integrity of the credentialing database and serves as a liaison with affiliated hospitals and medical staff administration
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3-4 years of experience in credentialing or equivalent experience required
- Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Medical Professional Services Management (CPMSM) preferred
- Working knowledge of general office practices, software applications (MS Office), and database management
- Demonstrated understanding of credentialing policies and procedures, including accreditation and regulatory requirements
