Job Summary
To ensure the highest quality patient care, the full-time remote Credentialing Specialist will manage the entire initial credentialing and privileging process for new medical staff and allied health professional applicants while collaborating with the Director of Medical Staff Services to maintain compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the credentialing and reappointment processes for medical staff and allied health professionals
- Ensure compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws, Joint Commission Standards, and other regulatory requirements
- Utilize strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and maintain accurate data entry
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in medical staff services with a focus on credentialing
- Experience in a managed care or healthcare environment is preferred
- Associate degree or equivalent experience; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel
- Preferred certifications include Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Staff Management (CPMSM)
