Credentialing Specialist

Job Summary

To support a remote team, the Credentialing Specialist will manage provider relationships, oversee credentialing processes, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while working independently and collaboratively.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with providers to manage initial and ongoing credentialing requirements
• Track and resolve credentialing issues, ensuring timely completion and compliance with state regulations
• Compile and present information for the Credentialing Committee to facilitate decision-making on provider applications

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or 4 years of functional experience in lieu of a degree
• Experience working directly with providers on credentialing policies and procedures
• Demonstrated professionalism and leadership in conflict resolution and escalated issues
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in job performance
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask
