Credentialing Specialist

Job Summary

Facilitating the credentialing process for healthcare providers, the full-time Credentialing Specialist will manage application processing, primary source verification, and data collection while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Execute credentialing application processing and primary source verification for new and re-credentialing applicants, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
• Organize and maintain provider data and files, meeting quality benchmarks for turnaround times and accuracy
• Collaborate with credentialing auditors and Medical Directors to prepare files for review and resolve any discrepancies

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field preferred
• 1 year of recent experience in medical staff services or a Credentials Verification Organization (CVO) setting preferred
• Certification as a Certified Professional Medical Staff Management (CPMSM) or Certified Professional Credentials Specialist (CPCS) is preferred
• Familiarity with Credentialstream credentialing software is preferred
