Credit Specialist

Job Summary

Researching and resolving patient and insurance credit balances, the full-time Credit Specialist will analyze account activity and documentation, initiate refunds, and collaborate with internal teams, all while working remotely within the Pacific and Central time zones.

Key responsibilities:

• Research patient and insurance credit balances by reviewing payment history and supporting documentation
• Determine appropriate resolutions for credits, including refunds and adjustments, in line with established policies
• Document findings and actions taken in the billing system while maintaining accurate account records

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or credit balance resolution in the healthcare field
• Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with flexibility during normal business hours
• Must be 18 years of age or older
