Creditors Rights Paralegal
Job Summary
To support a growing legal team, the full-time remote Creditors Rights Paralegal will manage legal and transactional support for loan originations, servicing matters, and defaulted loans while developing internal processes and training teams on real estate legal issues.
Key responsibilities
- Review title commitments, exceptions, and coordinate with the Title Team and outside counsel for lender title policies
- Collaborate with corporate counsel, closing teams, and loan officers on transactional legal issues and documentation
- Research legal questions across multiple jurisdictions and train internal teams on real estate transactional legal matters
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Business, Real Estate, or a related field; paralegal certification preferred
- 5+ years of experience in real estate transactions, commercial lending, or a similar legal environment
- Strong understanding of real estate and lending documentation, including title commitments and organizational documents
- Experience with defaulted loans, loan workouts, or special assets is strongly preferred
- Ability to research and analyze legal issues across multiple jurisdictions
