Culinary Arts Instructor

Job Summary

To support workforce training initiatives, the part-time Culinary Arts Instructor will plan, organize, and teach non-credit courses while providing feedback to students in various learning environments, including in-person and online formats.

Key responsibilities

• Create a learning environment that facilitates student knowledge and skill acquisition in culinary arts
• Align course activities with learning outcomes and employ active learning strategies to engage students
• Deliver instruction and conduct assessments while providing timely feedback and holding office hours for student support

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in culinary arts or related field, or an Associate Degree with demonstrated competency in the teaching field
• Two years of related occupational experience
• Ability to design and implement lesson plans that align learning objectives with student outcomes
• Teaching experience at the college level
• Familiarity with learning management systems such as CANVAS
