Custom WordPress Developer
Job Summary
To support a CMS migration project, the contract Custom WordPress Developer will work remotely, focusing on building and launching a custom WordPress site from HubSpot, integrating Marketo forms, and ensuring a seamless production cutover over the course of 8-9 weeks.
Key Responsibilities
- Build responsive custom themes, page templates, and Gutenberg blocks from design files while leveraging AI tools for efficiency
- Develop locally and push to a staging environment for review and testing, ensuring proper form and tracking integration
- Migrate existing content from HubSpot to WordPress, implementing SEO strategies and conducting thorough QA and optimization
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional WordPress development experience with custom PHP themes, Gutenberg blocks, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development workflows like Claude Code
- Proven experience with Marketo form embedding and tracking integration
- Demonstrated track record of executing CMS migrations, including 301 redirect strategies
- Practical knowledge of production hosting setup, SSL installation, and DNS cutovers on GoDaddy
