Customs Clearance Specialist - Canada
Job Summary
To support a growing ecommerce operation, the full-time Customs Clearance Specialist - Canada will prepare customs documentation, ensure compliance with import/export laws, and communicate with stakeholders while working remotely, including evenings and weekends.
Key responsibilities
- Independently review and prepare customs documentation for processing and entry releases
- Handle inquiries and maintain client database, ensuring timely and accurate completion of files
- Process B3/CAD entries and correct rejected Canada Customs entries to meet compliance standards
Required qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a customs brokerage role with hands-on experience in processing transport modes
- Diploma or degree in a related field; post-secondary business courses are a plus
- CCS designation or other industry-related certification; LCB designation is a plus
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages such as French or Mandarin is an asset
- Experience with CANdata is considered an asset
