Cyber Defense Director

Job Summary

Leading a multidisciplinary team, the full-time salaried Cyber Defense Director will be responsible for executing cyber defense strategies, overseeing incident response operations, and enhancing security monitoring capabilities in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and evolve a high-performing Cyber Defense organization focused on detection, response, and security engineering
• Execute cyber defense strategy by translating enterprise objectives into operational roadmaps and measurable outcomes
• Oversee incident response operations and serve as incident commander for significant cybersecurity events

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience leading technical teams in cyber defense, security operations, or security engineering
• 2-3 years of experience managing managers
• Strong background in incident response and cybersecurity operations
• Ability to communicate complex technical topics to non-technical and executive stakeholders
• Experience leading distributed or globally dispersed teams
