Cyber Range Engineer

Job Summary

Architecting, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based cyber ranges and training environments, the full-time Cyber Range Engineer will design scalable training infrastructures while collaborating with security researchers to ensure high-fidelity security simulations in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain local and cloud-based cyber range architectures for multiple concurrent training scenarios
• Develop automation frameworks for rapid deployment and teardown of range environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
• Create emulated cloud services and maintain security controls to ensure network isolation and resource efficiency

Required qualifications

• Expertise in networking, including virtual networking architecture, network security, and secure connectivity solutions
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Puppet and Ansible, and experience with containerization technologies like Docker
• Experience with cloud technologies and familiarity with VMware and NSX-T
• Strong problem-solving skills and exemplary documentation abilities
• Knowledge of security concepts and best practices for isolated environments
