Cyber Security Engineer

Job Summary

Owning application security across the SDLC and CI/CD pipeline, the full-time remote Cyber Security Engineer will manage security assessments, enforce secure coding practices, and collaborate with development teams to minimize vulnerabilities in a healthcare-regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with developmental teams to integrate security into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and CI/CD pipeline
• Perform in-depth security assessments, code reviews, and threat modeling to identify vulnerabilities and risks
• Manage GitHub Advanced Security triage findings and secure CI/CD pipelines to reduce software supply chain risk

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
• 5+ years in application security or security engineering
• Demonstrated experience with CI/CD pipeline security and code scanning tools
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HITECH, HITRUST) and their impact on application security
• Experience with API security and securing cloud environments (Azure preferred, AWS a plus)
