Cyber Security Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a mid-level Cyber Security Engineer to work remotely, who will guide the development of cybersecurity policies, conduct security engineering analyses, and ensure compliance with DoD standards while supporting product development efforts.
Key responsibilities:
- Advise application teams on security implications of software modifications and recommend appropriate security measures
- Conduct comprehensive security engineering analyses, including vulnerability and risk assessments, to inform risk decisions
- Evaluate applications for potential security risks and propose improvements to security policies, standards, and procedures
Required qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years' experience with DoD network engineering/management
- Minimum 3 years of specified work in Cyber Security
- MUST hold at least DoD 8140/8570 certification level: IAT II or IAT III
- MUST possess one of the following certifications: CASP+, AWS Security, CCSP, CSSLP, or equivalent
- Specific knowledge in areas such as Unix, DevSecOps, and AWS cloud security
