Cyber Security Engineer IV

Job Summary

To support an enterprise-wide security initiative, the contract Cyber Security Engineer IV will analyze network traffic and application dependencies, design micro-segmentation policies using Illumio, and collaborate with various teams, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze network traffic flows, ports, protocols, and application dependencies to determine appropriate security policies
• Design, document, and develop micro-segmentation rules using Illumio for Windows and Linux environments
• Collaborate with application owners and infrastructure teams to clarify communication requirements and manage application assignments through Jira

Required qualifications

• Strong Cyber Security Engineering background with network security and firewall expertise
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, ports, protocols, and network traffic analysis
• Hands-on experience with Illumio and implementing micro-segmentation policies in enterprise environments
• Working knowledge of Windows, Linux, Active Directory, and DNS fundamentals
• Experience writing and implementing network security policies and firewall rules
