Cyber Underwriting Lead

Job Summary

Owning the Cyber Portfolio Underwriting referral queue during North American business hours, the full-time salaried Cyber Underwriting Lead will manage referral decisions, conduct reviews across various account sizes, and develop guidelines based on decision patterns.

Key responsibilities

• Clear referrals within service levels and delegated authority while managing the CPU referral queue
• Prepare and follow through on carrier referrals under Coalition's capacity agreements, including documentation of decisions
• Identify recurring referral patterns and implement guideline revisions and underwriter training content

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of cyber or technology E&O underwriting experience at a carrier, MGA, or reinsurer
• Deep familiarity with letters of authority and referral frameworks
• Strong judgment skills with a disciplined approach to documenting decision reasoning
• Comfort with underwriting data and dashboards; experience with Looker or SQL is a plus
• Ability to maintain governance with senior underwriters while being commercially constructive
