Cybersecurity Advisor

Job Summary

To support a variety of clients in the financial sector, the remote Cybersecurity Advisor will provide strategic guidance on cybersecurity programs, develop security strategies and policies, and conduct risk assessments while collaborating with internal teams and maintaining client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary security advisor for multiple clients, overseeing all aspects of their cybersecurity programs
• Develop and implement tailored security strategies, policies, and procedures for diverse client environments
• Conduct operational risk assessments and create risk management plans to address identified gaps and risks

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 5+ years of progressive technology experience with a focus on customer service and technical knowledge
• 2+ years of technology leadership experience, including mentoring and developing team members
• 3+ years of experience with major cloud hosting services, specifically Azure or AWS
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or AWS Certified Security Specialty
