Job Summary
Leading cybersecurity architecture and policy alignment, the full-time Cybersecurity Architect will support the Department of Veterans Affairs' Supply Chain Management DevSecOps program by managing security requirements, ATO strategy, and Zero Trust initiatives in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead cybersecurity architecture, policy interpretation, Zero Trust alignment, and ATO strategy across the product line
- Define security requirements and architecture for various application environments, including legacy, SaaS, and cloud
- Establish security standards and automated controls within Agile and DevSecOps pipelines while managing vulnerability and incident response activities
Required qualifications
- 12+ years of information security experience, with 5+ years as a security architect or policy lead in federal IT programs
- Hands-on experience with the NIST Risk Management Framework and ATO lifecycle, including authoring and defending A&A packages
- Expertise in VA Zero Trust Architecture, TIC 3.0, and NIST security frameworks
- Experience securing hybrid environments, including legacy applications and cloud platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
