Cybersecurity Data Analyst
Job Summary
To support the Department of Veterans Affairs Cybersecurity Operations and Services Enterprise, a remote Cybersecurity Data Analyst (CDM) will analyze cybersecurity data to identify vulnerabilities and trends, validate data quality, and develop dashboards and reports for risk prioritization.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze cybersecurity and continuous-diagnostics data to identify vulnerabilities and risk trends
- Validate data quality and support reporting accuracy through normalization and reconciliation
- Develop dashboards and data-driven recommendations for remediation and risk prioritization
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, data analytics, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Four or more years of experience in cybersecurity analysis, vulnerability management, or data analysis
- Experience with asset, vulnerability, configuration, compliance, or security-event data
- Ability to analyze data sets and communicate actionable findings
- Experience with reporting, dashboarding, spreadsheets, SQL, or comparable data-analysis tools
