Cybersecurity Director

Job Summary

Leading cybersecurity initiatives and IT operations, the full-time remote Associate Director, Cybersecurity & IT will develop and execute cybersecurity strategies, oversee security controls, and ensure reliable technology services for employees while collaborating closely with compliance and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and execute the cybersecurity strategy and roadmap, establishing priorities and measures of effectiveness
• Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of security controls and incident-response capabilities
• Oversee day-to-day IT operations, ensuring secure access and reliable technology support for employees

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 8+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity and IT operations, including significant leadership responsibility
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST and FISMA, with experience translating requirements into technical controls
• Demonstrated experience in vulnerability management, incident response, and security operations
• Proven ability to communicate technical risks and security trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
