Cybersecurity Director

Job Summary

Leading the transformation of security practices, the full-time salaried Cybersecurity Director will develop and implement an enterprise security strategy, manage security operations, and ensure compliance while working in a hybrid or onsite capacity near Scottsdale, AZ.

Key responsibilities

• Set and execute the enterprise security strategy, focusing on automation and secure-by-design practices
• Oversee security operations, including incident response, threat intelligence, and resilience programs
• Lead governance, risk, and compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and continuous compliance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in leadership roles managing security teams
• Experience in transitioning security organizations to embedded, DevSecOps-style delivery
• Strong background in security operations, incident response, and managing MDR/MSSP providers
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, NIST CSF, and telecom regulations
