Cybersecurity Director
Job Summary
To enhance security operations, the full-time salaried Cybersecurity Director will lead the enterprise security strategy, manage security operations, governance, risk, compliance, and DevSecOps, while fostering a culture of automation and AI-assisted practices in a hybrid or onsite environment near Scottsdale, AZ.
Key responsibilities
- Set and execute the enterprise security strategy, focusing on secure-by-design practices and automation
- Lead the transition to an AI-assisted Security Operations Center (SOC) and manage incident response and forensics
- Oversee governance, risk, and compliance programs, ensuring adherence to regulations such as PCI DSS and telecom obligations
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in leadership roles
- Experience in transitioning security organizations to embedded, DevSecOps-style delivery
- Strong background in SOC operations and managing MDR/MSSP providers
- Knowledge of cloud security, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code practices
