Cybersecurity Director

Job Summary

To lead the transformation of security operations, the full-time salaried Cybersecurity Director will develop and implement enterprise security strategies, manage security operations including resilience and compliance, and foster a culture of security within product delivery, all while operating in a hybrid or onsite capacity within 50 miles of Scottsdale, AZ.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the enterprise security strategy, focusing on automation and high-value decision-making
• Lead security operations, including incident response and vulnerability management, while transitioning to an AI-assisted model
• Oversee governance, risk, and compliance programs, ensuring adherence to regulations and continuous compliance practices

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years in cybersecurity with at least 5 years in leadership roles managing security teams
• Experience in transitioning security organizations to embedded, DevSecOps-style delivery
• Strong background in security operations, incident response, and managing MDR/MSSP providers
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, NIST CSF, and telecom regulations
