Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance cybersecurity measures, the full-time Cybersecurity Engineer will conduct security assessments, implement and manage security controls, and respond to incidents in a hybrid remote setting based in Washington, DC.

Key responsibilities

• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses
• Design and configure security controls, monitoring systems for alerts and anomalies
• Develop incident response plans and conduct forensic analysis of security breaches

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or a related field
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as firewalls, IDS, IPS, and SIEM solutions
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, attack vectors, and regulatory compliance
• Proficiency in network security concepts and scripting languages like Python or PowerShell
• At least one relevant technical certification, such as CompTIA Security+ or CISSP
