Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Cybersecurity Engineer will support threat detection, alert management, and automated incident response while collaborating with enterprise infrastructure and security operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and triage security alerts generated by Palo Alto Networks XSIAM and XDR platforms
• Investigate security incidents, endpoint anomalies, and telemetry events across integrated enterprise environments
• Maintain operational security playbooks to support threat detection and automated response workflows

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• 2-5 years of hands-on experience in Cybersecurity Operations or Incident Response
• Demonstrated expertise in Palo Alto Networks Cortex XSIAM and Cortex XDR platforms
• Strong understanding of threat detection, rule tuning, and security operations workflows
• Experience with Splunk SIEM or complementary log management systems is preferred
