Cybersecurity Internal Auditor
Job Summary
To support organizations in achieving compliance, the contracted Cybersecurity Internal Auditor will perform independent audits of information security, privacy, and AI management systems, focusing on standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 27701, and ISO 42001, with flexible scheduling and occasional virtual meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute internal audits against relevant ISO management system standards
- Review policies, procedures, and risk assessments while assessing operational effectiveness of governance controls
- Develop detailed audit reports and present findings to leadership, providing actionable recommendations for improvement
Required Qualifications
- ISO 27001 Lead Auditor certification
- Experience with ISO 27701 and ISO 42001 auditing
- Proven experience conducting cybersecurity, privacy, or compliance audits
- Strong understanding of information security governance and risk management
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple audit engagements
