Cybersecurity Operations Manager

Job Summary

Leading a proactive and automated Security Operations Center, the full-time Cybersecurity Operations Manager will oversee threat hunting, detection engineering, and incident response, while managing SOC operations in a hybrid or onsite capacity near Scottsdale, AZ.

Key responsibilities

• Transform the SOC through automation, threat hunting, and detection engineering while reducing manual processes
• Establish a proactive threat hunting program and direct the production of telecom-focused threat intelligence reporting
• Manage daily SOC operations, ensuring effective incident detection, response, and resolution while overseeing SOC staff development

Required qualifications

• 4-year college degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 6 years of information security experience, with 4 years in a Security Operations Center preferred
• 2 years of experience building or operating an automation-driven SOC
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001
• Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell or Python for automating security operations
