Cybersecurity Operations Manager

Job Summary

Leading the transformation of a proactive Security Operations Center, the full-time Cybersecurity Operations Manager will build and manage an automated SOC focused on threat hunting, detection engineering, and incident response, with the option for hybrid or onsite work based in Scottsdale, AZ.

Key responsibilities

• Advance automation and threat hunting initiatives while establishing a proactive threat hunting program to identify emerging threats
• Oversee daily SOC operations, ensuring effective incident detection, response, and resolution while managing alert and ticket queues
• Hire, train, and develop SOC staff, building competencies to manage and mitigate security risks effectively

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
• Minimum of 6 years of information security experience, with at least 4 years in a Security Operations Center
• 2 years of experience building or operating an automation-driven SOC, including detection engineering and security automation
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity and compliance frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001
• Experience using scripting languages like PowerShell or Python for automating security operations
