Cybersecurity Operations Manager

Job Summary

Leading the transformation of a proactive Security Operations Center (SOC), the full-time Cybersecurity Operations Manager will build and manage an automated SOC focused on threat hunting, detection engineering, and incident response, with the option for hybrid or onsite work within 50 miles of Scottsdale, AZ.

Key responsibilities

• Advance SOC capabilities through automation, threat hunting, and detection engineering while managing daily operations and incident response
• Establish a proactive threat hunting program and produce telecom-focused threat intelligence reporting to enhance security measures
• Hire, train, and develop SOC staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence

Required qualifications

• 4-year college degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
• 6 years of information security experience, with at least 4 years in a Security Operations Center
• 2 years of experience building or operating an automation-driven SOC
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001
• Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell or Python for automating security operations
