Cybersecurity Operations Manager

Job Summary

Leading the transformation of a proactive Security Operations Center (SOC), the full-time Cybersecurity Operations Manager will build and manage an automated SOC focused on threat hunting, detection engineering, and incident response, with the option for hybrid or onsite work in Scottsdale, AZ.

Key responsibilities

• Advance automation and threat hunting capabilities while designing automated response workflows to enhance SOC efficiency
• Establish and mature a proactive threat hunting program to identify emerging threats specific to the telecom sector
• Oversee daily SOC operations, ensuring effective incident detection, response, and resolution while managing SOC staff development

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
• 6 years of information security experience, with 4 years in a Security Operations Center preferred
• 2 years of experience building or operating an automation-driven SOC, including detection engineering
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS
• Experience with security platforms and tools, including SIEM, threat hunting, and automation scripting languages like PowerShell or Python
