Cybersecurity SOC Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of security professionals, the full-time remote Cybersecurity SOC Manager will oversee the administration of the Cybersecurity Security Operations Center, focusing on incident response, team management, and strategic planning to enhance the organization's security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Manage team performance, including evaluations, training, and hiring to ensure effective operations within the CSOC
• Oversee incident response processes and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while collaborating with other departments to mitigate security risks
• Plan and prioritize budgetary needs for the CSOC, advising upper management on financial forecasting and resource requirements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in a related field or equivalent experience
• 12+ years of IT and/or cyber experience, with at least 8 years in IT security and team management
• Minimum 1 year of experience in cybersecurity investigations and incident response
• Proven background in metrics/reporting and process analysis/improvement
• Understanding of various operating systems with an emphasis on vulnerability assessment and hardening
