Job Summary
To protect healthcare information systems and patient data, the part-time Cybersecurity Specialist - DC Licensed will monitor for security breaches, implement security measures for Protected Health Information (PHI), and conduct risk assessments while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor networks and systems for security breaches and vulnerabilities
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect PHI and EHR
- Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans across systems
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles
- Working knowledge of HIPAA Security Rule and healthcare compliance requirements
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and firewalls
- Understanding of network security and secure system architecture
